Jordan’s lifelong passion for design & technology has taken him on a diverse and fulfilling career path. From a young age, he explored his creativity through art, typography, and coding, often creating artwork and programming games for friends and family.
After exploring different career options, including managing a photo department and training as a tattoo apprentice, Jordan discovered his true calling in creative design & technology with graphic design and web development. He honed his skills by majoring in Media Design Technology from Salt Lake Community College’s School of Applied Technology & Computer Science for Web Programming from Harvard University’s online learning initiative HarvardX where he further refined his abilities as a programmer and graphic designer.
Jordan worked as a freelancer under the name Design By Jordan, taking on projects in graphic design and web development, as well as running his own small printing shop before securing a full-time position at an agency as a senior lead graphic designer. He worked for five years at MagicSpace Entertainment, a company that produced and presented national tours, Broadway shows, live entertainment, and concerts worldwide, creating marketing, promotional, and advertising content for over 250 events in around 75 cities per year.
When the company split into separate entities, Jordan took on both as clients, leading him to establish his own creative design studio, rebranding as Pinebee Creative. Since then, he has worked with a range of clients, from small non-profits to large corporations such as Taco Bell, Disney, Nickelodeon, and Carhartt, among others.
When not helping clients, Jordan has also taught Web Development & Graphic Design at Salt Lake Community College as an adjunct professor for the last 6 years. This has enabled him to stay up on the latest industry standards, technologies, while also helping to teach the next generations the trades of the industry.
Jordan’s exceptional work has earned him numerous design awards, including a silver medal with his escalator wrap design for the show Walking with Dinosaurs at the Oklahoma Advertisement Awards and first place for branding and logo design in the food category for the brand Vegan Lao Food at the International Branding, Logo Design, and Advertising Awards.
